The Opportunity

Plan International’s Group Finance Department are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to provide financial data analysis and modelling to support the Global Strategy of a €700 million operation working across more than 70 locations, enabling performance to be monitored and analysed effectively.

The Business Analyst provides historical analyses and forward looking information to Plan’s Senior Management, PI Inc operations and Financial and non-financial departments across the Federation. The post also advocates for the use of financial systems within Plan, shares knowledge and spreads good practice.

Providing procedures, guidance and training to Plan offices to enable effective use of financial systems for monitoring and tracking performance and use of funds, financial reporting and forecasting and budgeting you will promote continuous improvement, innovation and learning.

You will apply your accounting and financial knowledge, including knowledge of multi currency operations and donor funds, to analyse trends and operational issues across an International Federation, interrogating financial systems including Plan’s programme, grants and financial SAP system and the Group Reporting and consolidation system (SAP-BPC) to develop system reports and tests system processes and functionality.

The Person

With extensive knowledge of group level business analysis and strong management accounting skills you will have excellent analytical skills and the demonstrated ability to interpret detailed financial information.

Strong system expertise including advanced Microsoft Excel, excellent communication and reporting skills and an ability to provide financial reports to a high standard will be imperative.

Type of Role: Permanent

Location: International Headquarters, Woking (approximately 23 minutes from London Waterloo)

Salary: £35-45000 per annum

Reports to: Financial Analysis Manager
