Location: Buckingham

  • Responsible for development of the 4Ps ( Product, Place, Price and Promotion ) of the Engine Management in the UK and Eire
  • Development, maintenance and deployment of the category plan in the UK and Eire
  • Support local sales team with relevant tools (promotion, stock recommendations, pricing analysis, etc.)
  • Identify range needs for the category and raise them to regional category team

Key Accountabilities:

  • Strategy - Utilize customer insights, market data and other available tools to develop, maintain and deploy category plan in the selected countries, ensuring market relevance and leveraging business growth opportunities
  • Pricing - Define and implement pricing strategy for category in the country, with support of pricing team, ensuring market competitiveness and margin optimization
  • Promotion - Develop category promotion plan and measure performance with country marketing manager, support to maximize sales revenue and develop market share
  • Channel - Explore all channel opportunities and define strategy and implementation plan for each appropriate channel
  • Product - Define category range requirements and ensure communication of needs to product management team. Adapt suitable communications, material and information around category in the country to build category awareness. Raise key issues and suggest action plans to tackle roadblocks
  • Customer Segmentation - Define internal and external category deployment plan, and execute with segmented customers
  • Field Visits and Customer Events - Run focus groups, visit customers and support sales team on the field. Participate where appropriate at customer events and industry shows to develop relationships with customers and remain connected to the market and its evolutions

Job Challenges:

  • Defining key priorities and managing workload and multiple deadlines - Balance between operational and strategic approach
  • Keeping informed on relevant market and competitor changes - Pricing, market conditions and Key Defined Competitors are moving targets and a complete market overview approach must be taken
  • Engage sales team and ensure motivation on category within context of multiple sales teams priorities
  • With the support of the EMEA Category Director, interact with regional HQ functions and manage multiple processes to ensure flawless execution of category plans
