The Position

The Financial Controller will work out of our new UK administration headquarters in Bristol. This position is responsible for financial transactions, accounting and audit systems; multi-jurisdictional, multi-subsidiary and International accounting and tax reporting; departmental budgeting and forecasting; and working closely with senior management. The Financial Controller will also have one direct report of a Financial Assistant.

What you’ll be doing:

  • Preparing group statutory accounts

  • Overseeing and producing monthly management accounts for the group and all subsidiaries

  • Consolidating multi-currency reports

  • Preparing balance sheet reconciliations

  • Reviewing the monthly payroll process

  • Preparing weekly cash forecasting and monthly cash flow statements

  • Reconciling month end balance sheet control accounts, ensuring all accruals and prepayments are included

  • Ensuring all monthly/quarterly statutory returns and payments are made on time; including CIS, VAT, PAYE, and local filings in each market we operate

  • Providing relevant and timely financial information to Senior Management

  • Supporting management in execution of taxation strategy

  • Ensuring general ledger, subsidiary ledgers, and other financial records and schedules are accurately maintained for all businesses

  • Delivering key financial control routines including; monthly balance sheet reconciliations, access control reviews, and transactional risk sampling

What you’ll bring to the table:

  • ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification with at least 3 years PQE

  • Strong communication skills with an ability to work collaboratively with mid-level and senior management

  • Demonstrated success in the finance and accounting sector

  • Ability to carry out detailed work accurately

  • Strong leadership and management skills

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Experience in Netsuite highly desired


£40,000 - £50,000 a year commensurate with relevant skills and experience.
