Workshop Manager
Location: Walsall
Annual Earnings: £32,000

My client, a specialist maintainer of heavy commercial vehicles is actively seeking to employ an experienced Workshop Manager for their depot in the Walsall area.

Main Purpose of the Workshop Manager role:

• Experience within a similar role in a commercial vehicle environment
• Strong man management and communication skills
• IT literate and experienced with Dealer Management Systems
• Manage and control day to day workshop activities to ensure that customer requirements, quality and standards are maintained.
• Ensure scheduled repair times are adhered to.
• Effective management of hours bought and sold including salaries and overtime.
• Control workshop costs including repair and maintenance spend and third party repairs in line with agreed budgets.
• Ensure maintenance standards are compliant with legal and company obligations.
• Ensure KPI’s are achieved and maintained.
• Ensure Health and Safety compliance within workshop
• Responsible for the Management and development of Workshop staff.
• Assist with customer/invoice queries
• Control of service vans including repairs and fuel
• Ensure high levels of service and customer satisfaction are met

The successful Workshop Manager MUST have a background in commercial vehicle / HGV Maintenance and repair and MUST have worked as an HGV Technician prior to moving into a supervisory position.

The successful Workshop Manager can expect to receive an excellent package to include a salary of up to £32,000 per year, 21 days holiday per year increasing with length of service, a contributory pension after a qualifying period, plus other benefits to be discussed upon an offer of employment.
