Head of Global Payroll - £80k to £90k inc: Bonus, Car, Flexi-Pot and Out of London allowance - Middlesex

A leading and global organisation seek an experienced Head of Global Payroll to lead an implementation project for 43 countries within EMEA and APAC.

This is a newly created role that sits within my clients Leadership Team and the successful candidate will need to have in-depth experience of leading a payroll team globally along with global systems implementation.

Role Accountabilities:

  • Provides expertise and knowledge into the Global Payroll (GPO) team on the future/emerging strategy for payroll service delivery, including the associated service delivery model

  • Analysing leading practice, market trends and benchmarking to bring innovative thinking to the delivery of the Payroll domain. Maintain regulatory compliance as legislated by local and/or governing agencies.

  • Demonstrates deep knowledge of the service model, Payroll processes and associated tools and systems. Embeds high skill and knowledge levels in to the team

  • Analysing relevant metrics to provide insight in to current and future domain performance; adapting and improving the service in an agile and responsive way, aligned to the global framework of the Payroll GPO team and working with the outsourced service provider, where applicable

  • Creating and leading a high performing team to achieve KPI/SLA targets and deliver outstanding and compliant operational results. Be able to drive talent and performance through setting clear objectives, managing performance and creating opportunities for the team

  • Providing continuous improvement input to the Payroll GPO based on insights from the region. Proactively capturing and driving requirements for enhancements to the technologies and tools and communicating and leveraging those opportunities through the Payroll GPO. Provide and receive feedback to/from the Domain Manager, Foundational Services on processes to reduce payroll impacts and to provide end to end continuity of service and the minimization of impacts to the employee and company

  • Establishing, building and developing trusted and productive relationships with Business Facing HR in region to ensure the appropriate transition of payroll service delivery to the new model

  • Establishing, building and developing trusted and productive relationships with the Domain Manager Payroll Services in Western Hemisphere, Domain Manager Foundational Services, Domain Manager Customer Experience, Relationship Managers, Payroll GPO and 3rd Party Vendors (Operational) in region

  • Representing the Payroll Domain in relevant governance meetings

  • Establishing and maintaining relationships with local Finance and Tax groups

Skills and Experience:

  • Proven ability to lead the deployment of a payroll service delivery model across multiple geographies

  • Proven track record in delivering high quality, compliant Payroll services

  • A passion and interest in emerging trends in Payroll services and how this can enhance business performance and customer experience, including opportunities for synergy across the region

  • Experience of working in a multi-national and multi-lingual environment, both locally and remotely serviced

  • Knowledge of ADP payroll solutions and Workday preferable

  • Prior system conversion experience
