Our client is a manufacturer of ergonomic sit-stand workplace products. They are looking to employ a Sit-Stand Sales Consultant to work with Architects, Interior Designers, Furniture Dealers and Corporate End Users in London. You will be based from the Clerkenwell, London showroom.

The Role:

Responsible for the sales growth of Sit/Stand sales and advanced Sit/Stand applications within a defined regional territory. Primary responsibility for providing Sit/Stand subject matter expertise, strategic sales leadership and support with specific sales opportunities.

  • Must be well versed in all products and understand how ergonomic tools tie in with each other
  • Provide subject matter expertise in positioning, selling and implementing Sit/Stand applications
  • Assist in identification of Sit/Stand opportunities with local sales representatives and sales managers
  • Manage/Monitor Pipeline Activity through CRM
  • Achieve and exceed Sit/Stand revenue and Sit/Stand product mix sales goals
  • Develop strategic and localized plans with Sit/Stand Product Manager and regional management to penetrate new business
  • Contribute to business planning by positioning products as a part of the overall ergonomic solution
  • Responsible for developing sales action plans for major accounts in each region with representatives
  • Weekly sales appointments and presentations with end-users, dealers, Sit/Stand designers, Architects and Designers, and Commercial Property Agents
  • Complete sales activity and opportunity reports as well as maintaining CRM
  • Facilitate Sit/Stand training
  • Effectively work with Sit/Stand Product Manager, Sales Managers, representatives and specialists
  • Perform competitive analysis, gather marketing information on customer use and needs for input into development of new products and programs
  • Participate in office sales meetings, project updates and training sessions
  • Facilitate and launch new products
  • Be the subject matter expert with our lighting line
  • Conduct Sit/Stand presentations
  • Inspect and track lighting samples and opportunities
  • Drive Sit/Stand sales by conducting joint calls with team member

Required Skills:

  • Candidate must possess 5 - 7 years of successful commercial Sit/Stand sales experience and/or product management experience. Experience in selling Sit/Stand based solutions is preferred.
  • Candidate will have 5+ years B2B sales experience
  • Bachelor’s degree is required
  • Successful track record of planning and execution of corporate goals
  • Working knowledge of MS OFFICE and associated applications are required
  • Ability for overnight travel regionally 60%+
  • Must have sold in highly competitive markets
  • Must be able to operate comfortably in team based selling environments where control may not be available
  • Must be a self-starter with entrepreneurial spirit

Additional Qualifications:

  • Solid understanding of ergonomic principles, a plus,
  • Knowledge and/or experience in office furniture or related industry, a plus,
  • Excellent written and verbal skills
  • Skilful negotiation and presentation abilities
  • Networking Skills, must be comfortable in after work hour events with clients
  • Highly motivated, with aggressive follow-up and closing skills
