Helpdesk / Desktop Support - London Bridge - £24,000. The Ashdown Group has been approached by a successful financial services organisation looking to find a 1st line support person to join them on a permanent basis.

This is a good opportunity for someone looking to establish their career within a an IT focused office, supporting internal staff with various issues, logging tickets and escalating them where necessary.

The successful candidate should have experience working on a helpdesk or in an IT support environment at 1st line level. If you have got some experience of 2nd line that would be advantageous, but it is not essential.

To be suitable you should be comfortable in a Microsoft environment with the daily use of Active Directory, Exchange, Windows 7 and 10 as well as Office. You should also have a some knowledge of virtualised servers and remote support tools and have a basic understanding of networking infrastructure such as TCP/IP, LAN and WAN.

My client is willing to consider candidates with more limited experience as long as you are enthusiastic and keen to learn, however you will be expected to have a formal qualification such as a degree or NVQ, and/or be working towards your MCSA or Cisco.
