Oracle Database Administrator / Developer - up to £50k + benefits

An exclusive opportunity has arisen for an Oracle Database Administrator / Developer to join a small, but market leading and award winning software house, who specialise in providing software solutions for the energy utilities market.
This role is on offer as a result of business expansion and the successful individual will be part of a small agile, dynamic, responsive customer focused team.

*Strong oracle database knowledge and experience
*Several years as a DBA using Oracle as the main DBMS, preferably in a Windows environment
*Oracle optimisation at server, database and application levels
*Oracle backup and recovery strategies
*Monitoring Oracle databases
*Understanding of physical database design principles
*Data integrity knowledge
*SQL Knowledge
*Security management
*Confident in liaising with both the technical and business minded
*A 2:1 science discipline degree, or Oracle Certification, or experience

*Physical database design
*Communicating with end users and customers
*MS Office tools
*Polished telephone manner
*Self-motivated and strong work ethic
*Team player / Strong communicator

You will be required to support their customers by performing tasks such as performance monitoring, database tuning, application tuning, database design through to physical implementation, develop and optimize SQL statements, implement and maintain database security, technical troubleshooting, install configure and upgrade of Oracle software, backups, recoveries, documentation capacity planning, and work as part of a 24x7 team when required.
