This client is a global powerhouse of a law firm with more than 120 offices and 7000 lawyers. They specialise in a range of areas including Employment and IP.
They are now looking for a Revenue Controller to support departments in the management of WIP, which will include regular communication with Partners and fee earners.
Conduct regular meetings with Partners regarding the levels of fees expected
Establish strong working relationships with Partners, fee-earners and Secretaries
Monitor and reduce aged WIP, in line with the lock up day budget
Action requests from Partners for information, including reporting on fee levels to specific clients
Ensure the Department achieve monthly and annual billing targets
Constant monitoring of WIP, billing and activity levels
Manage funds going into and out of client account
Set up and monitor clients who require e-billing
Chase Departmental missing time
Deal with time recording queries from fee earners and Secretaries
Provide general assistance with ad hoc project work, as and when required
Good knowledge of Work in Progress management, obtained through experience working in a similar environment
Confidence to deal effectively with Partners
Good interpersonal and communication skills
Able to prioritise and multi-task when working under pressure
Knowledge of Solicitors' Accounts Rules and VAT
Flexible and prepared to busy periods
