A Credit controller is required to join a law firm based in London.

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a busy working environment working within the credit control function. Requiring technical skills and abilities are essential. An experienced credit controller/manager is required for this vacancy, also portraying the below;

Key Responsibilities and Duties include:
Induction training for new members of staff to explain the credit control procedures and the actions that should be carried out. Manage the e-mail/letter runs and reminders also.

Run debt reports for fee-earners and partners, and assist with the partners in allocating & completing chaser phone call duties when debts reach the maximum amount of days. Ensure ordered records are kept of all conversations/communication with clients. Ensure any and all instalment payments are received as agreed and chase when instalments are missed. Deal with direct enquiries from clients, managing the process of passing debts to the debt collection team and making sure its chased. Run debt reports from accounts software, and extract relevant data from Excel reports.
Amend any of the credit limits using the accounts software if requested by any of the partners or Director of Accounts. Provide any ad-hoc duties reporting as requested by Director of Accounts, including KPI reporting of partner debt. Ability to constantly evaluate and monitor the effectiveness of current instalment of credit control procedures, whilst having the ability to suggest and recommend any improvements to current practice. Supervision and management of the team is essential too.

Person Specification - experience and attributes required:
Candidates must have a minimum of 5 year's experience of credit control, preferably within a legal environment. Good working knowledge of the Solicitor's Accounts Rules, Anti-Money Laundering regulations and other compliance rules. Having the ability to numerate, and able to work accurately under pressure. PC literate, with experience of Microsoft packages such as Outlook and Word and an excellent knowledge of Excel Excellent communication both written and verbal. Pro-active, professional and personable are key components too. The flexibility to work outside normal office hours as may be required from time-to-time. Being at team player, hardworking and excellent communicator with the team and reports is essential also.
