Business Development Manager - Digital Advertising Sales

Salary £ 25,000 - £35,000 doe

Commission: Uncapped: Typically between £10-20k + year 1, can double in year 2

My client specialises in helping organisations promote their product or service to 16-25 year olds, primarily those at University. They create opportunities for young people whilst helping brands engage with this audience.

There are two primary ways clients use the services:

1) Online- they operate a range of websites including a leading student lifestyle website created by a team of 600 student writers.

2) On Campus- they run the biggest network of Student Brand Ambassadors in the UK. They can run any event on campus, last year they ran over 200.

Brands they have have worked with recently include Amazon, Red Bull and Universal Pictures.

The Digital Advertising Sales Business Development Manager Role:

My client is looking for a talented sales person to manage the entire sales process from researching contacts, building marketing plans, cold calling, presenting and closing. You will also have heavy involvement in the management of the accounts that you win. You will be working with big brands that want to attract a youth audience so need to be outgoing with your finger on the pulse, a great networker and confident presenter.

Digital Advertising Sales Business Development Manager Responsibilities:

New business development, selling the brands services.

Building long term relationships with advertising agencies and marketing departments.

Gaining long term client retention.

Providing bespoke display, email, mobile, social media and on campus advertising solutions.

Developing and enhancing the product.

Working closely with marketing.

The ideal Business Development Manager:

The desire to work in a small team with a huge personality.

A proven track record in media sales preferably with experience of selling to advertising agencies and direct clients.

The ability to think on your feet and multi task.

You will be tough, resilient and persistent, people will say no and you will need to be able to react in a positive way.

Have the ability to sell your personality over the telephone and face to face.
