Being part of the Finance Team you will be responsible for the accurate and timely allocation of receipts on customer accounts and will follow up on the allocaiton of unallocated accounts and arrange correct allocation or refunds. You will be resolving customer and credit control team queries in a timely manner working across other Canon departments to help you in that process.

Using your problem solving skills you will prepare customer refunds when required and handle the documentation of bad debt write offs, when instructed. The role will be give you the opportunity to flex your organisational skills as you prepare and post weekly direct debit mandates and amendments, produce reports and gain feedback against your own performance targets.
Working accurately you will ensure you remain compliant and adhere to company policies and procedures and highlight where any processes may not be adhering. There may be times when confident in the role to cover for absent team members and assist the team with ad hoc tasks.
Your communication skills will be fully utilised as you respond to customer correspondence and requests for information. You will escalate issues not being resolved and will learn how to resolve more complex issues as you develop in the role. Escalating complaint issues you will riase the paperwork associated with any refunds ensuring compliance to SOX requirements, of which training will be given.
You will print and file remittances and have the responsibility of scanning all documents as required.

Excellent communicatiion skills - written and spoken English
Ability to work as part of a team, yet be responsible for your own responsibilities is key to succeeding in this role as is excellent time management of work load.
Experience in cash collectiion experience required as well competent in using Excel.
Training given on Oracle and Canon's processes.
Cash Collection experience with competence in Excel
Canon will also consider a graduate who is interested in a career in Finance.

Salary £22,516 + 5% OTE annual bonus for experienced staff. Graduate level - entry level - £18,858 - £19.905 + 5%
