Finance and Administration Assistant

If you have experience in finance and administration and are looking for a varied and challenging role, this is a great opportunity to join a fast growing IT Consultancy in Central London. You will be based in our bright and airy office a short walk from London underground and mainline stations.

What is the Job?

As part of our continued growth, we are looking for a finance and admin assistant to help with the smooth running of our business, working alongside the Commercial Manager, the main duties will include:

Finance Assistance:

  • Accounts Receivable
  • Accounts Payable
  • Credit Control (including chasing invoice payments)
  • Manage the client billing/invoicing system
  • Timesheet Approvals - ensuring all consultant completed timesheets correctly and are received before the weekly deadline.
  • Processing Expense claims and ensuring all receipts have been submitted

Office and Admin Assistance:

  • Ensure telephone calls are answered promptly
  • Upkeep of the office environment
  • Manage office supplies
  • Support senior management in various administration tasks

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Minimum 6 months experience in Finance and administration
  • A pro-active attitude with the ability to demonstrate initiative, resiliency and reliability.
  • Excellent organisation and time management skills with the ability to prioritise workloads
  • Great attention to detail to ensure accuracy and an ability to constantly hit deadlines
  • Flexibility to effectively deal with unexpected events and changes to workload based on management priorities

The successful candidate will require:

  • Minimum education GCSE and A levels
  • An accounting or bookkeeping qualification would be beneficial but not essential
  • Excellent MS Office skills
  • Good communication and written skills
  • The ability to work independently
