PURCHASE LEDGER MANAGER - REAL ESTATE - LONDON - OUR CLIENT is a vibrant and growing property management arm of a much larger residential property firm. They manage their own developments as well as 3rd party instructions across single and multi-tenure developments. They are currently looking for an experienced Purchase Ledger Manager to join their expanding accounts team.

THE ROLE:

  • Processing invoices and checking for discrepancies.
  • Scanning and electronic filing of entered invoices.
  • Completing the weekly payment run and ensuring all necessary paperwork and evidence are in place.
  • Answering all supplier queries and establishing good relationships with the supply chain.
  • Ensuring that all suppliers receive remittances advice for payments and that the updated contractor details are on the database.
  • Undertaking monthly supplier reconciliations.
  • Assisting the team with bank reconciliations answering/directing general accounts queries to the relevant parties.
  • Liaising with Estate Managers to ensure procedures are followed and any queries are resolved.
  • Assisting the team with general Property Management enquiries - e.g. phone calls from leaseholders.
  • Resolving complex purchase ledger queries.
  • Assisting junior team members in resolving their queries.
  • Drafting team procedures.
  • Overseeing invoice workload (via shared inbox) to ensure work is allocated correctly.
  • Ensuring ledgers are up to date in time for bank reconciliations to be done.
  • Working with group accountant to resolve any outstanding queries that arise from bank reconciliation.
  • Working with Head of Accounts to manage cash flow.

THE PERSON - In order to apply, you will need to have extensive purchase ledger experience, preferably from a residential property management context. The chosen candidate will be comfortable working in a fast paced and commercial environment with the ability to work independently and manage their own workload. Communication skills are important as you will be liaising with all parts of the company and clients. This role requires a social individual who can pick things up quickly.
