Search Consultancy are currently recruiting for a SQL DBA/Database Administrator based for a market leading client based in Greater Manchester. The SQL DBA/Database Administrator will the following skills and expertise;

Skills/Experience

  • Understanding of structured query language (SQL) and database management systems (DBMS)
  • Broad understanding of database architecture, software and database management systems
  • Used to working in a fast paced environment and the ability to work to tight deadlines while maintaining accuracy
  • Strong analytic and organisational skills
  • Capable of communication at all levels
  • Meticulous, logical and capable of prioritising tasks
  • Ability to work independently and process quickly
  • Ability to work independently and prioritise
  • Demonstrate good business acumen as it related to the requirements of IT
  • Strong team player with good all round internal and external communication skills
  • Demonstrate a desire to understand the Company operations and systems and develop a knowledge of all products

Accountabilities

  • Responsibility for the accuracy, integrity and security of the database
  • Creating complex query definitions that allow data to be extracted
  • Entering, analysing and sense checking the existing data
  • Testing and modifying of current database to ensure it operates reliably
  • You must ensure the database remains consistent across the database and is clearly defined
  • Trouble shooting any issues on behalf of the users
  • Controlling access permissions and privileges
  • Extract data for planning, reference and communication purposes
  • Assist and train colleagues to input and extract data in line with policy
  • Producing accurate performance reports to measure output levels against targets
  • Assisting with database design and development and deployment of a new CRM system
