Quantity Surveyor & Senior QS required for an exceptionally small, friendly and trusted consultancy in Sussex
Your new company
Your new team are a small but friendly chartered surveying consultancy just outside of Crawley, providing Quantity Surveying, Contract Admin and Project Management services. Their projects are high capital value and include some of the biggest names in and around the South of the UK. They work across multiple sectors including residential, education and industrial and often work through from initial feasibility to inception tailoring to a client's specifications. Their team are well established and staff retention is high meaning a settled and loyal group of colleagues to work with.
Your new role
As Chartered Quantity Surveyor you should be both willing and able to take responsibility for all aspects of project cost control from feasibility to final account on a variety of exciting new build and refurbishment schemes in the education, residential and commercial sectors primarily in London and the Home Counties. There are two roles available depending on your skills set.
Role one is working solely on the production of Bills of Quantities for a variety of contractor clients. You will need to be able to prepare accurate quantities from drawings and specifications for new build, refurbishment schemes and high quality fit out projects. As a result you require a sound construction knowledge, accurate measurement skills, an eye for detail and the ability to work efficiently in order to meet client deadlines often on complex projects.
Role two will see you take responsibility for all aspects of project cost control from feasibility to final account on a variety of exciting new build and refurbishment schemes in the education, residential and commercial sectors primarily in and around London and the south showing ability to take charge and set an example to less experienced members of staff .
What you'll need to succeed
For both roles you should have extensive experience as a QS already and need to be both energetic and enthusiastic in your approach and be dedicated to the provision of excellent client service. In addition you will need to be commercially aware, have strong communication skills and be able to provide clear advice and support to existing clients.
