Term Time only - 37 hours per week for 39 weeks per year
£16,342.25 per annum pro rata
We are seeking to recruit a Hospitality Technician to join our Hospitality Department in the kitchens and stores, you will be required to support the team in providing a professional clean and safe working environment for the learners and assist them in increasing revenue within the department, and some key elements in the role include:
Manage daily ordering of produce and monitor the budget for the respective area
Prepare and maintain the hospitality area
Maintain and keep up-to-date inventory and records of equipment and materials
Operate equipment and machines in a safe manner carrying out routine maintenance and adjustment as appropriate
Support staff and students in creating and maintaining a commercial working environment
Maintain food safety procedures
Contribute to and maintain departmental records
The Position will require you to be flexible when required to meet the operational needs of the department, you will have a background in a similar role or environment and be acquainted with the Health and Safety standards demanded upon in this environment.
You will be an excellent timekeeper with a thorough approach to achieving high standards; you will be expected to deal effectively with a range of people and have understanding approach to their needs and difficulties. Holding Level 2 (or equivalent) qualifications in Maths and English will be an essential requirement for this role. (or the commitment to gaining within 24 months). It would be beneficial if you had an NVQ 2 in Catering or equivalent or a L2 food safety certificate.
