This leading European supplier of technical textile threads to the Automotive Supply Chain, is now looking for a Quality Engineer.

As a Quality Engineer, you will be reporting into the Quality System Engineer, providing support for all applicable internal & external functions within the company. The role will develop the operational and quality processes in terms of Quality Engineering in conjunction with applicable Customer specific requirements, ISO/TS-16949 associated Core tools and Best practice.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

- Support the development, establishment, implementation and maintenance of QMS, procedures, work-instructions and documentation (PFlows/FMEA/CPlans, Work Instructions, inspection plans, quality performance trends and statistical plans for inspection, testing and evaluating the provision, reliability and accuracy of product, processes and production equipment
- Use problem solving techniques such as Ishikawa and 5 Why's to conduct root cause analysis as well as identify and drive corrective actions and opportunities for improvement
- Participates (and leads) in refinement and enhancement of products and processes by applying Continuous Improvement and key lean manufacturing/production principles and techniques to critical and required processes/projects
- Establishes, implements and maintains programs for improvement, preventative action(s) and risk-assessment
- Prepares reports by collecting, interpreting, analysing and summarising data and making recommendations

The successful candidate will:
- Min. 3 years of experience, fully proficient with ISO/TS-16949, Customer Specific Requirements and associated Core Tools (APQP,SPC, MSA, FMEA, Control Plan, 8D)
- ISO/TS-16949/VDA 6.3 Internal auditor (desirable)
- Proven ability to implement and maintain an ISO/TS-16949 QMS
- Detailed knowledge of industry, registration scheme and certification process to ISO/TS
- To demonstrate flexibility, sound work ethics and integrity
- Diligent timekeeping & excellent time management - able to prioritise and mange work loads
- Self-starter and has the ability to work on their own, but also able to integrate into a team
- Highly focused and able to repeat tasks accurately and diligently
- Excellent knowledge and experience of Microsoft Office and SAP
- Strong communication skills to communicate effectively and confidently concepts, ideas and knowledge at all levels
- Possess excellent problem solving skills, decision-making, and root-cause analysis skills in addition to interpersonal skills that foster conflict resolution as it relates to technical situations
- Experience within a manufacturing and/or operations environment as part of the quality department/team
- Fosters knowledge and information sharing through effective written and verbal communication
