Business Development Manager 

Our client is a leading support services company specialising in cleaning and security with an excellent track record of delivering high quality facilities solutions to retail premises, leisure facilities, theatres, hotels, corporate offices and managing agents. 

Position: Business Development Manager - Security 
Location: Manchester / Leeds 
Job Type: Full time, permanent 
Salary: £35k base, £45k OTE and includes a car allowance 

About the role: 

This is an exciting new opportunity for an experienced, driven and dynamic Business Development Manager who will play an essential role in delivering future growth by actively seeking new clients. This role would suit an existing Business Development Manager (preferably with Security experience) who is motivated by results and thrives on building exceptional relationships with key clients and stakeholders. 

Key Responsibilities: 

- Exceed assigned monthly target for new business 
- Derision of new business via networking, referrals, and territory management 
- Proactively generate new business appointments from the prospects contained on the sales database and other areas 
- Remain up to date on company selling strategies and any new industry developments and trends 
- Ensure that work is presented in a timely and agreed format in time for approval 
- Maintain and develop networking contacts through industry related associations 
- Participate in trade show activities as requested 
- Understand and adhere to all company policies with particular attention to the Sales Compensation Plan 
- Understand and adhere to Sales’ obligations to Operations and IT Departments 
- Continually research competitive aspects of the market and analyse information for better selling opportunities 
- Complete all necessary Sales Reporting accurately and on time 
- Complete all necessary database updates (Salesforce) and paperwork in a timely manner 
- Undertake Training and personal development in line with the company’s business objectives 
- Champion positive customer oriented culture through all areas of the business 
- Working with colleagues to ensure cross selling opportunities are maximised 

About you: 

- Excellent presentation skills 
- Knowledge of the security market 
- Competent levels of planning and organisation 
- Numeracy to a reasonable level 
- Good Excel, must be able to use formulas and reference information from different sheets to produce detailed reports 
- Ability to use Word and PowerPoint at an intermediate level 
- Ability to work to deadlines and prioritise 
- Good interpersonal skills
