Description:
Senior Structural Engineer required to join firm of Consulting Structural and Civil Engineers for the new office location in Chipping Norton, Oxfordshire.

In essence, they are problem solvers. They improve the construction process with the production of clear and certain instructions for the builder, whether that's in designing a simple beam or a large site development.

They're looking for someone who can bring that same focus when they join their young dynamic team. You'll be working in a professional design office and can expect to face a steep but rewarding learning curve. In return, they'll give you the room to grow and support will be available from their Directors when you need a little help.

Responsibilities:
- Project delivery for a range of projects (residential, education, community and health, heritage, university and colleges) and procurement methods; traditional, design and construct, framework contracts.
- Business development through repeat business clients and new clients.
- Resource allocation and management to complete projects to agreed deadlines.

Key Skills:
- Able to tackle new situations/challenges through reliance on self. Belief that you can do it.
- Good ability to sketch/draw by hand
- Good working knowledge of designing buildings in steel/ concrete/ masonry/ timber. British Standards and/or Eurocodes.
- Able to prioritise the demands of differing projects as well as completing individual projects.
- Confident in talking to clients/ architects/ contractor clients. Understanding their needs as opposed to their wants. Agreeing on realistic next steps and managing their expectations.
- Able to successfully liaise with clients / architects following an enquiry and prepare fee proposals for projects.

Requirements:
- They are seeking a Chartered Engineer, IStructE or MICE or near Chartered with 4-9 years experience.
- They believe in recruiting, developing and rewarding the best people. If you have ambition and drive, or if you believe that you have untapped potential, then they would love to hear from you.

Benefits:
- Ongoing training and development provided
- 23.5 days holiday plus Bank Holidays
- Pension 3% matched contributions rising to 5% October 2018
