Test Lead - Leatherhead, Surrey

CGI Space are looking for a Test Lead to join us in Leatherhead, Surrey to work on Space projects for a variety of major clients including European Space Agency, Inmarsat, ECMWF, Eumetsat and Airbus. Our Test Leads typically work in teams alongside developers, architects, designers and test analyst against client requirements using industry standards to implement some of Europe's most exciting IT projects.

Space is looking for a Test Integration, Verification & Validation (IVV) Lead to join an exciting new project for a commercial client. The IVV Lead will be responsible for the integration of each subsystem, including COTS products and bespoke development, into the full SatComms software system, and leading the test team. This is an excellent opportunity to develop skills in the space sector. Your future duties and responsibilities
You will be responsible for:
* Leading the integration and testing of the system.
* Identifying staffing needs, interviewing and mentoring the members of the test team.
* Producing test estimates from the requirements
* Identifying test tools to support testing
* Leading the integration of the components delivered from the development teams.
* Designing and Writing Test Plans, Test Cases and Test Scripts for the project to verify that the requirements have been met
* Identifying and setting up test data and simulators
* Carrying out integration and test activities in accordance with the agreed plans,
specifications and descriptions / scripts. This will include executing test scripts,
recording results and storing evidence
* Working in accordance with defined project processes and procedures
* Defining and monitoring of the productivity metrics to be used for monitoring test
progress. Required qualifications to be successful in this role
You will need to have:
* Experience of managing a test team,
* Experience of integrating complex systems
* Planning, organisation, metrication and reporting skills,
* Experience of the testing lifecycle,
* Client-facing experience
* Prior use of an observation reporting tool, e.g. JIRA, #Define
* Good verbal and written skills,
* Ability to communicate at all levels.

Desirable Skills:
* ISEB/ISTQB Qualified
* Use of requirements gathering/capturing tools
* Good working knowledge of Linux and SQL.
* Quick learner, ability to learn complex system and a range of testing tools.
* Network Management experience
* Subversion (svn), GIT

Our roles require Security Clearance to SC Level, so you must have lived and worked in the EU for the past 5 years, and be willing to obtain this level of clearance if you do not already have it.
