Their innovative mobile health platform connects users with fully-qualified, experienced doctors via remote video consultation, making lengthy appointment waiting times and poor access to primary care services a thing of the past.

Our client is looking for a Graduate C#.NET Developer to be involved in the development of an innovative health platform. Our client a technology innovator in the healthcare sector.

Role Overview

They are looking for a Graduate C#.NET Developer responsible for the continued development of an innovative platform. Including web applications, mobile apps, web APIs, including anything from back-end services to their client-end counterparts.

Your primary responsibilities will be to design and develop these systems, and to coordinate with team members working on different areas/layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is essential.

The successful candidate must be a team player and have developed multi-user systems using C#.NET. The role requires knowledge of Microsoft .Net and other web technologies. Role would be suitable for applicants who have just finished Computer/software technology related qualifications.

What are the responsibilities of the Graduate C#.NET Developer?

- Translate application storyboards and use cases into functional applications

- Design, build, and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable C# code

- Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications

- Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to these problems

- Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization

What skills do I need to have to become a Graduate C#.NET Developer?

- Minimum of 1 or more years of solid software development experience

- An understanding and knowledge of .Net, Web Services, WPF, WCF, MVC, Patterns/OO Design, and Web Frameworks

- Familiarity with the .NET framework v4 and above

- Familiarity with the MVC4 framework and above

- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming

- Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server

- Established SQL database skills, particularly in the contexts of the business logic and data access application layers, and including the use of ORM tools such as NHibernate or Entity Framework

- Familiarity with RESTful APIs and Microsoft Web API Frameworks

- Knack for writing clean, readable C# code

Experience of the following would be an advantage:

- Skill for writing reusable C# libraries

- Familiar with various design and architectural patterns

- Knowledge of concurrency patterns in C#

- Architecture and development experience in enterprise applications

- Implementing automated testing platforms and unit tests

- Experience of HTML / XML, web services and web development

- Ability to evaluate and apply various design patterns (MVC / MVP / MVVM)

- Remote deployment and client update in a Windows domain environment

- Creating database schemas that represent and support business processes

- Proficient understanding of code versioning tools {{such as Git, SVN, and Mercurial}}

- Familiarity with continuous integration

- Software localisation

- Familiarity or awareness of Azure or AWS cloud services

- Experience of Agile methodologies i.e. SCRUM, KANBAN

The post is based at their offices in Salford but occasional travel may be required. As part of the interview process, candidates will be presented with a number of technical tasks to test some of the key skills required for this position.
