About the opportunity

ICS Group currently has an exciting opportunity available for an experienced Business Continuity & Information Security Officer to join our growing organisation based within our IT function. Within this role you will be based at our London office with some travel required to our Hertfordshire branch.

Within this role you will be responsible for Developing, maintaining, and implementing business continuity and disaster recovery strategies and solutions, including risk assessments, business impact analyses, strategy selection, and documentation of business continuity and disaster recovery procedures ( Technical & Physical ).

You will need to plan, conduct, and debrief regular mock-disaster exercises to test the adequacy of existing plans and strategies, updating procedures and plans regularly, also acting as a coordinator for continuity efforts after a disruption event.

Key Tasks

  • Manage the virtual Information Security service and review/monitor all actions & audits
  • Responsible for all controls, governance & renewals of ISO 27001, Cyber Essentials and IG Toolkit certifications
  • Develop Disaster Recovery ( DR ) plans for physical locations with critical assets such as data centres.
  • Develop Business Continuity ( BCP ) plans to deal with operational & organisational emergencies.
  • Develop system & application recovery strategy to confirm recovery priorities
  • Perform regular DR & BCP tests across all parts of the Group.
  • Analyse impact on, & risk to, essential business functions or information systems to identify acceptable recovery time periods and resource requirements.
  • Assess risks to business operations.
  • Develop emergency management plans for recovery decision making and communications, continuity of critical departmental processes.
  • Review existing DR, crisis management, or BCP plans.
  • Establish, maintain, or test call trees to ensure appropriate communication during disaster.
  • Interpret government regulations and applicable codes to ensure compliance.
  • Perform regular DR & BCP tests across all parts of the Group.
  • Responsible for Information Security service at ICS incl regular Business, Physical & Technology Audits
  • Responsible for IS 27001, IG Toolkit, Cyber Essentials and Information Governance at ICS

Key Skills/Experience Required:

  • Previous experience as a Business Continuity officer in a multi-location environment
  • Previous experience as an Information Security officer in a multi-location environment
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Excellent planning & documentation skills
  • Great team ethic and positive can do attitude
