UX Designer / User Experience Designer

A UX Designer / User Experience Designer is needed to join a leading Software company who are consistently voted one of the Sunday Times Top 100 Small Companies.

Employing over 230 staff from their Cambridge HQ, this software leader boasts an impressive client list (which includes 91% of the Fortune 100). Creating highly intuitive and technically complex database tools they have an industry leading product suite and a superb working environment (group punting on the river is always a fun event).

Joining as the UX Designer / User Experience Designer you will be responsible for designing and building a great user experience. Whether you are utilising your interaction design, usability and analytical skills to help develop a deep understanding of users' goals, needs, and problems; collaborating with team members; working on desktop and web products; facilitating collaborative design sessions / workshops or leading user research and testing, it will be your excellent knowledge of user-centred design methods that ensures exceptional user experience is achieved.

To qualify... You should be a UX Designer / User Experience Designer / UX Manager / UI Designer / User Interface Designer or similar with a CV and portfolio that demonstrates:

  • Experience in a similar UX Designer role;
  • You are an advocate for usability, accessibility and user-centred design;
  • A methodical and clear approach to solving problems;
  • An open and inclusive approach to User Experience within the company;
  • The ability to work on both desktop and web products. You use the right platform for the context and goals of the user.

It would be nice if you have experience in an agile environment, familiarity with web, SQL Server and or .NET Technology, but this is by no means essential.

If you can imagine a Google type company in Cambridge then you're about there. This is a fantastic opportunity for a UX Designer / User Experience Designer to join a software leader with an outstanding UX community, a first class working environment and amazing benefits (free lunch and breakfasts, flexible working, relocation, gym, bike maintenance and loads more) once in you won't ever want to leave.
