Business Analyst - SAP APO PP/DS £45-55K + Excellent Benefits.

My client is a major FTSE 50 global organisation with interests in more than 100 countries. An exciting opportunity due to internal promotion has arisen within the Information and Technology Services division for an experienced SAP consultant/Business Analyst to join the team on a permanent business. This would ideally be based in the Surrey area however we will consider candidates that travel to an office base and work from home.

Information Technology and Services and functional capability are provided to Business Units from a Global IT&S organisation. These services are provided through a matrix organisation of enterprise wide standards and activities integrated through a number of business-facing Chief Information Officers. IT&S Europe and Africa has transformed business processes and systems and moved away from the mixture of legacy solutions resulting from previous years acquisitions to a single SAP based solution. The final landscape is predominately SAP based but includes some heritage/legacy applications. The ideal candidate will be part of the Europe and Africa Regional Resolver Group , and operate between the business users and the central SAP and heritage support teams. Their main role is to work closely with the operating unit/function they support to drive the IT agenda and manage the delivery of both project related and 'business as usual' system changes.

An important part of the role is to manage the assessment and realisation of business benefits associated with the change.

Key accountabilities.

*Supporting the Global Supply Chain (GSC) function and work in 3 key process areas: Planning, Manufacturing and Quality Management.
*Business Relationship Management - Act as the IT&S point of contact and develop strong relationships with the functional leadership so as to be the IT&S representative in their meetings.
*Provide effective reporting at functional leadership level.
*Be an efficient bridge with the functional leadership for the escalation of issues and deployment of strategic solutions. Engage with business function process reviews as required. Build and Lead functional communities.
*Strategy and Roadmap - Understand business strategy and objectives and create the IT roadmap to enable the business changes. Ensure projects/enhancements are compliant with the IT strategy.
*Benefits Assessment and Realisation - For each project/enhancement ensure benefits are understood, documented and tracked following delivery.
*Project Delivery - Business change projects are owned and managed by the IT&S team. Prepare submissions to the projects review board explaining scope, structure and approach to secure agreement for the delivery and funding strategy.
