Data Centre Decommissioning Engineer - Multi-Disciplined Cabling Systems

Our client is a well established, expanding and profitable business with a proven track record of developing and delivering leading-edge fibre optic cabling solutions, designed to improve network resilience and speed of communications. The quality of its Cabling Systems & Fibre products combined with tried and tested Installation, Maintenance & Support services have led to an enviable portfolio of major Corporate Clients in the Telecoms and Data Centre sectors in both the UK and Overseas.
Working hours: 22:00 to 06:00 Sunday to Thursday.
Due to continued growth, they now require additional Decommissioning Engineers to join their expanding Installation & Service Team. Reporting to the Service Contract Manager and Lead Engineers on site, you will be responsible for removing redundant cabling and containment as per the customer requirements, including: Copper data cabling, Fibre cable, Patch cords, Patch panels, and associated metalwork & containment.
As an experienced Engineer, educated to (minimum) City & Guilds level (or equivalent) in a relevant fibre optic and/or copper structured cabling discipline, you will be able to demonstrate proven experience of:
Whilst it is preferable that you have gained this experience in a Data Centre environment, other relevant Data Communications sector backgrounds will certainly be considered.
