Chief /Senior / Mechanical Design Engineer - West Yorkshire - £32,000 to £42,000 (dependent on experience)

This Oil & Gas client is currently experiencing rapid growth and as a result we are looking to double the size of our Engineering team to meet this demand.

Whether you are a Principal Engineer or Mechanical Design engineer with a few years industry experience you will have the opportunity to work as part of global project teams delivering engineering solutions from proposals and concept design stages through to final commissioning and project handover.

Their equipment has to be extremely reliable for a design life in excess of 20 years so your design, analysis, calculation and general engineering expertise will play a key part in ensuring this happens.

Key Responsibilities include:

-Produce 2D or 3D design layouts and detailed manufacturing / assembly drawings.
-Prove by calculation that the designs are fit for purpose; meeting the relevant Industry Codes and company standards.
-Write and / or check assembly, test and installation procedures etc.

Qualifications Requirements

- Degree or a minimum of HNC / HND in Mechanical Engineering or related subject.
- Transferable Mechanical Engineering Skills with ideally some experience in the design of large heavy engineered products.
-Minimum of 4 years practical "hands on" engineering experience.
-Innovative approach - can produce novel / new designs to meet customer requirements.
