Due a large transformation programme and the demand for new eCommerce design, a permanent Senior Java Developer is needed to help drive the development practice of this marketing leading, global giant.

You will step into a team senior role and help shape their online technology roadmap. Make no mistake, the role is a hands-on technical position where your ideas and project plans are implemented without hesitation - remember they require your expertise. You will design, develop and test enterprise software to agreed specifications, providing all supporting documentation that includes build and deployment instructions.

Your previous experience in a similar role within Java development will underpin your success. With the technical gravitas to mentor and inspire your dedicated development team, you will harness innovation and balance passion with precision to deliver exceptional online service and solutions for their customers.

Your background will include Java development, ideally working on eCommerce platforms, but this is not essential. We are looking for a solid background developing in TDD (Junit, Mockito), Agile, Spring (core, MVC), SQL, ORM (Hibernate, JPA etc), Design patterns, Design patterns and GIT and /or Jenkins. You will have experience of end-to-end software delivery.

You'll enjoy an exciting and creative environment with modern tools and technology to get your job done and a team of hardworking, ambitious and like-minded individuals supporting you. Our client offers a vast range of additional benefits including flexible working, childcare cost contributions and an onsite restaurant.
