Pump Service Engineer - Vacuum Pumps - West Midlands - £30-32k + company vehicle + site uplift for overseas work/meal allowances + tools

Samuel Frank Associates require an experienced multi-skilled Pump Service Engineer to join a key client in the West Midlands to work high-tech equipment. The successful hire will be skilled in both mechanical and electrical disciplines and ideally will have worked in either a service capacity or a plant maintenance role. This person will be involved in service work and will also be involved with commissioning and installation duties. This role will involve the installation, repair and maintenance of vacuum pumps and non-vacuum pumps. Knowledge of compressors, rigs and pumping stations in expected.

Applicants must be based within commutable distance from the client's premises in the West Midlands as there will be some workshop based duties.

The role requires extensive UK site work and non-UK travel. This is not a one plant maintenance position but will suit an individual with the range of skills of a strong multi-skilled Maintenance Engineer who is interested in a multi-site/travelling type role. The frequency and duration of visits will depend on work load and customer demand so this is an educated estimate.

Candidates with good all round engineering knowledge of working on high-tech equipment will be well suited to this opportunity.

Key aspects to the role include -

- Provide routine servicing and breakdown assistance to customers.
- Carry out and control repair/overhaul of vacuum pump on equipment both in UK and overseas.
- Train customers in safe operation and maintenance of vacuum pumps.
- Develop and maintain an in depth knowledge of vacuum pumps, equipment and technology to reinforce services provided.
- Provide feedback of any sales leads for spares, overhauls, or new equipment.
