Five Acre Wood School are looking to appoint a Special Needs Teacher (SEN) specialising within Key Stage 1 to start in April 2013 to support pupils with ASD. The school is an all age (4 -19) day District Special School for children and young people with Profound, Severe and Complex Learning Difficulties, including Autistic Spectrum Disorder. With a firm foundation and strong partnership, they provide a platform for dynamic, challenging and personalised learning pathways, preparing students for their life journey.
Five Acre Wood School provides a stimulating and safe learning community, enjoying working together to nurture and maximise the potential of each and every individual and celebrate their achievements. With a number of specialist facilities, Five Acre Wood are able to enhance the curriculum and learning experiences of pupils and students with their sensory studio, soft play room, hydrotherapy pool and two food technology rooms.
To apply for this vacancy you must reside within the UK, hold QTS (Qualified Teacher Status), have previous experience working with special needs children (ASD) and have the ability to motivate and encourage students.
