IT Project Manager - (1 Year Fixed Term Contract)

The role

Our vision is for IT to be a valued business partner and service provider to universities across London, providing managed, shared and hosted services to students and staff. As an experienced Project Manager you will take a key role in the delivery of projects across a range of IT systems and IT change projects.

Your role will be key in managing a number of small and medium sized projects across a number of departments and their respective systems. Your role will cover the full project lifecycle including business analysis, requirement gathering and solution design thorough to implementation. You will act as a subject matter expert providing guidance to the University on how they can improve project management and business analysis practices as well as optimising solutions to support more effective and efficient services

The Person

You will bring to the role extensive, relevant knowledge and experience of IT best practice including:

- Experience in an IT Project Manager capacity with experience of working on small and medium sized application and IT change projects.
- Sound understanding of full project lifecycle from inception through to implementation with working knowledge of key project methodologies such as Agile, Waterfall and Prince2;
- Strong stakeholder management skills at all levels both with internal and external partners, along with the proven experience of developing relationships across organisation boundaries.
- Acting as an agent for change you will demonstrate a passion for harnessing technology and information systems to improve efficiency and organisational effectiveness.


- You will be a self-motivated and dynamic individual who is able to challenge and influence others, develop and maintain collaborative working relationships across IT and non IT departments;
- High level, proven inter-personal and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to lead and motivate internal teams and vendors.
