Test Analyst (Web Services, SoapUI) - ICIS

Based in Holborn

The Department:

RBI are seeking an experienced Test Analyst with strong data testing and validation experience and web service testing skills to join one of our flagship digital brands based from our vibrant central London office. You will join a project team delivering a data rich, highly interactive commercial web based product to customers of one of our most innovative businesses.

Role Description:

As an experienced Test/Quality Analyst you will play a key role in the agile development, maintenance and enhancement of specialist end-user, editorial and back office systems in this exciting and fast-growing business. You will join a highly talented team fully based in central London using with state-of-the-art technologies and tools to deliver high quality, web-based information systems to the Commodities and Energy Markets.

Key Accountabilities/Responsibilities:

- Creating test cases from requirements
- Estimating stories
- Testing user interfaces and business logic
- Testing RESTful web services
- Data testing and validation
- Integration testing
- Prioritising defects
- Managing test environments and deployments
- Organising and co-ordinating UAT
- Creating automation scripts

Essential Skills Required:

- Solid manual and automation test experience
- Experience working in an Agile environment
- Automation experience using SOAPUI (or equivalent)
- Good understanding of Version control and Deployments
- Solid SQL experience
- JSON/XML
- C# language
- Experience using defects management tool (e.g. JIRA)
- TDD/BDD
- Strong interpersonal and stakeholder skills
- Excellent problem solving skills
- A real interest and passion for software development and high quality code

Desired Skills:

- Selenium Webdriver
- Protractor
- Experience of creating BDD style acceptance criteria (Given/When/Then format)
- Micro services testing
- Continuous Integration
- Understanding of HTML5
- Jira experience
- Performance and Load testing
- ISTQB certification
- AWS
- Any gas and power domain knowledge a definite advantage
