Basic Salary: £35k to £50k per annum

About The Company:

An exciting opportunity for a Magento Web Developer to join one of the country's fastest growing Digital Marketing Agencies, with their Headquarters based in Central Birmingham.

The role offers the successful candidate the potential to establish the foundation of a web development team working on a range of projects covering predominantly Magento and Wordpress platform builds. The role presents the opportunity for the successful candidate to rapidly build this team across an initial 18 months period and thereafter complimenting our existing teams of like-minded digital specialists covering the full spectrum of digital marketing from Paid Search to SEO.

Our team enjoys some of the most attractive workspace in Birmingham and the team enjoys a vibrant social scene, which is not surprising when the office is based right in the center of Birmingham only a short walk from New Street Station and Snow Hill Station.

Candidates must be competent in Magento with a desire to develop their Magento skill-base further. Magento Certification is a definite bonus, but not a necessity as there will be an opportunity to gain this qualification if the candidate is successful in their application.

Minimum Requirements needed to become the Magento Web Developer:

- 3+ Years experience in web development
- 2+ Years experience in Magento - Essential
- 2+ Wordpress experience - Desirable
- PHP experience - Desirable
- Excellent front and backend knowledge
- Experience with responsive websites

Knowledge of other Open Source platforms, particularly WordPress will be an advantage as will experience working with the full LAMP stack and managing the environment with CPanel, or similar.

Other desirables include an in-depth understanding of modern front-end development practices and responsive design, together with an appreciation of UX, industry best practices, and being able to cater for accessibility. The candidate should be able to demonstrate some, or all, of these through a portfolio of work.

The candidate should possess meticulous attention to detail and be able to manage the full project life-cycle.
