Hatstand, a global financial technology consultancy, is seeking a Java Developer to work for a Tier 1 investment bank.

Hatstand - a Synechron company is a Global Financial Consultancy and Capital Markets Specialist. We operate in three key areas of financial markets: Trading - Systems & Connectivity, Data Management and Regulation & Risk. This vacancy is part of the Hatstand Green Beret Programme, our unique talent development programme which is aimed at recent graduates with 3-5 years of work experience.

We are currently looking for a Java Developer to join Hatstand as a Junior Consultant to work for a Tier 1 investment bank. You would be working in their cash equities IT maintaining and developing state of the art trading systems. You will be doing Java Enterprise development and will have Fundamentals of Agile and Test-driven development. Whilst technical ability is crucial to the role we are looking for a self-starter who can demonstrate a solution driven attitude to technology and an enthusiasm for team work.

To be successful in this role you must have solid understanding of Java EE and hands-on experience in full development lifecycle. A good knowledge of Object Oriented Principles is a must. They will also have experience of multi-threading, familiarity with Unix, a strong knowledge of relational database design and implementation and excellent communication skills with the ability to work in a team.

You must have the legal right to work in the UK from the date of commencement.
