Luxoft UK is looking 2 Senior ETL\Oracle Developer positions in London.

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced Senior ETL\Oracle Developer who will work with business users and members of the technical team on the design and development of highly scalable ETL processes and Enterprise Data Warehouse utilizing tools such as Oracle and Informatica for a diverse set of clients. This person will be responsible for development of database part of enterprise level application and data migration solutions. Should have enough experience for database design, review data model, performance tuning optimizations (indexing, partitioning, refactoring, query optimization etc), application development, application support, data migration and building ETL processes within Enterprise Data warehouse platform etc.

RESPONSIBILITIES

- Software development according to given Technical Specification in the following technologies: Oracle (30%), Informatica (60%), others (10%)
- Performance tuning and testing of the application code
- Implementing fixes and enhancements
- Being involved in a full life cycle of the project, including support of business users, testers and deployment teams
- Reconciliation checks
- Maintain "common code" libraries, so objects can be shared and folders for all Environments (Dev, System Test and Production), Code Check-In/Check-Out procedures and assists in managing all environments and what releases of code are in each.
- Document designs and architect data maps, develop data quality components and establish and/or conduct unit tests.
- Participate in requirements, design, and development reviews. Conduct or participate in meetings with owners of key system components to fully understand current data and systems environments. Resolve source data issues and refine transformation rules.
- Analyze source system data to assess data quality. Data profiling. Work with technical and business representatives to determine strategies for handling data anomalies that are identified. Design ETL processes and develop source-to-target data mappings, integration workflows, and load processes. Design, develop, and implement enterprise-class data warehousing solutions.
- Use the Informatica platform to extract, transform, and load data. Develop, test, integrate, and deploy ETL routines using ETL tools and external programming/scripting languages as necessary. Write and maintain unit test cases.
- Provide data analysis and technical documentation for both source and target mappings.
- Build a strong relationship with business users, stakeholders and on-site/off-site teams;
- Be responsible for the overall product quality from a business user perspective. Client facing;
- Ensure delivery, requirements elaboration and delivery planning;
- Make SDLC running as per process;
- Issues elaboration (dev, qa, analyst, infrastructure, client);
- Sorting issues of User Acceptance Test/PROD as incidents, defects and clarifications

SKILLS REQUIRED

- Extensive professional experience with Oracle Database (SQL and PL/SQL)
- Extensive experience with design, implementation and performance tuning ETL processes (using Informatica Power Center) is a must
- In-Depth knowledge of Investment Banking and Regulatory Reporting Business Domain is a must
- Significant experience with building Transactional Data Warehousing is a must
- Hands-on experience with Control-M required
- Hands-on experience with Data Warehouse and ETL (Informatica PowerCenter) required
- Ability to demonstrate Unix and Shell scripting
- Understanding SDLC concepts
- Hands-on Experience with Unit Testing and code review (SQL, PL/SQL and Informatica features)
- Hands-on experience within Enterprise environment for delivering complex solutions by large projects (Team size between 100 and 200 FTE)
- Hands on experience in Waterfall
- Experience with Data Migration projects
- Experience with GIT
- Understanding branching/merging strategy
- Automation testing of database changes via Cucumber framework (BDD).
- Working experience with: JIRA, ALM
- Root cause analysis. Problem/Enhancement identification and solving;
- Experience in leading distributed team (at least 3 years);
- Fluent in English, both verbal and in writing;
- The ideal candidate would have working knowledge of Russian and Romanian
- Bachelor/Master in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Engineering or a related field
