The main focus of Mirus it to provide IT support in London, Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas. You will be part of a committed IT Services company providing high quality IT services. The aim is to provide the level of support a business would expect to receive from an internal IT team.


You will be a Senior IT Support Engineer and part of the On-site Team that is managed by Adam Risby who is based at the Mirus IT head office in Wymbush, Milton Keynes . The Senior IT Support Engineer is needed to work for a key client of Mirus IT in London Bridge reporting to their IT Director.

The key responsibility for a Senior IT Support Engineer is to provide software, hardware and network problem resolutions to client technical problems. You will also perform problem diagnosis and guide users through step-by-step solutions in a desktop support based environment.

For this you will have: -

- 3-5 years' experience as an IT Support Engineer providingsupport to SME's;
- Experience of working in a customer facing role;
- Familiar with working to SLA's to meet both customer and contract requirements;
- Microsoft, VMware, Cisco certification is desirable.

Technical Skill-set

Windows Server Technologies (2008 to 2012) and Exchange 2010 +:

- Install, configure, troubleshoot issues, decommission & make recommendations for upgrade.

Active Directory:

- Configure new users;
- New OU's;
- Configure sites and services;
- Resolve issues.


- Determine system state.

PC / Server Hardware:

- Upgrade, both hardware and firmware;
- Raid configurations, iLO.


- Running through the DNS structure to ensure domain entries exist for DC's;
- Moving external DNS services around to different IP's when internet changes.


- Routers & switches.

Interview Process:

- First stage: This will be a 30 minute - 45 minute technical conversation with one of our Senior Engineers;
- Second stage: Is a Skype video interview with Adam Risby, Service Delivery Manager;
- Third Stage: A face to face interview with Adam Risby, Service Delivery Manager and the On-site IT Director in London;
- Final stage: This is offer and agreement of a start date. Start day is usually a Monday @ 9:30am dependent on your availability.
