Our client is seeking a Junior C# .NET Software Engineer / Developer to join their small team. Using your experience in C# .NET, Visual Studio, T-SQL and SQL Server, you will be responsible for software development, design and architecture as well as maintenance and support. Key is good communication skills and the ability to work autonomously, using own initiative.

You will thrive on solving varied, challenging problems in a dynamic environment and be instrumental in the further development of their revolutionary platform which uses Microsoft technologies: Azure, C# .NET windows, web and WCF services, WPF, SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting Services, and SQL Server Integration Services.

Compensation for this permanent position includes live share options and salary commensurate with the role, £20,000 - 30,000.


Our client, an innovative technology company based in London, with worldwide installations, is a world leader in on-demand manufacturing of digital products (software, audio books, music and movie) to physical disc and digital redemption cards in retail.


- Software Development: Create quality C# code. Build software in an N-Tier environment, including windows services, WCF services and WPF applications. Integrate with third party software for product manufacture. Integrate with retailer systems.
- Software Design: Participate in design of new functionality for SoftWide using appropriate technology and patterns.
- Software Architecture: Input into architecture of SoftWide and integration with Publishers and Retailers.
- Maintenance and support: Maintain SoftWide system and applications. Provide development support to internal retail support teams.
- Client facing: Interact with Retailer and Publisher technical and commercial teams, both on site and remotely.
- Documentation: Create and maintain appropriate levels of documentation.


Candidates must have experience with:

- C# .NET (commercial experience, though university projects would be considered)
- Visual Studio
- T-SQL and SQL Server

Experience with the following is highly desirable:

- Windows or Web Services
- Azure
- SQL Server including SSRS and SSIS
- Graphic design
- Continuous integration


- Good spoken and written communication skills at all levels of the business
- Ability to work autonomously, using own initiative
