Structural CAD Technician
My client is an innovative structural engineering practice working both within the UK and Internationally. The office is based in Shoreditch. A rare opportunity has arisen for a Structural technician with experience to join the team. They are located near to a station.
The engineering consultancy provides cutting edge and high-quality engineering designs to suit the needs of clients. They were established in 2002 and have demonstrated their extensive capabilities in implementing creative cost - effective, and readily buildable design solutions.
The work with a diverse range of materials including structural glass. You should be able to work with the more traditional materials (concrete, steel, timber and masonry) and your C.V. should demonstrate your previous technician roles and key consultancies you have worked in.
The aim of the practice is to develop elegant and efficient structural designs that respond appropriately to the architectural concept and the building constraints. The practice currently has a successful team of experienced creative designers who have all worked for progressive engineering practices at the forefront of modern architecture.
The engineers and technicians have experience on all types of buildings combining traditional concrete and steel materials with modern fabric membranes and ETFE technologies. The office is based in East London and has around 16 staff.
You must be a structural technician with some years of buildings drawing experience at a level where you can run your own parts of projects with minimal supervision.
Ideally you will have an interest to work on architecturally challenging projects and you must have good communication skills.
