My client, based in Central Manchester, is undergoing an enormous expansion (we are talking in terms of increasing in size by 400% over the next five years) and is, as a result, looking to double the size of its IT function.

This means they are now looking for a strong project manager who will be a senior figure within the department and look to grow the role over the next few years.

The role will look to ensure the successful delivery of all IT related projects within the organisation.

The post holder will be responsible for day to day running of projects, requirement gathering and ensuring that products delivered to specification, scope and within cost.

Other duties will include..

*Coordinate internal resources and third parties to ensure successful execution of projects
*Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
*Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
*Ensure resource availability and allocation
*Develop project plans to track progress
*Use appropriate verification techniques to manage changes in project scope, schedule and costs
*Measure project performance using appropriate systems, tools and techniques
*Report and escalate to management as needed
*Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
*Perform risk management to minimize project risks
*Establish and maintain relationships with third parties/vendors
*Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation

To be considered for this role you will need to be able to show that you have the following experience

*Working experience as a project manager in the information technology sector
*Solid technical background, with understanding or hands-on experience in system, software development and web technologies
*Proven experience in requirement gathering and document requirements, communicate with customers throughout the development project
*Strong client-facing and internal communication skills
*Strong written and verbal communication skills
*Excellent organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
*Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

*Essential - Relevant Project Management Qualification PRINCE II, Agile, MSP
