As a Gas Turbine Performance Engineer with Altran, you will be fundamental to our ability to deliver to our customers and clients. Our customer expectations are high, as such we are looking for adaptive driven people to deliver on time to required quality.

You will possess creative problem-solving skills in a team environment and comfortable with communicating clearly and efficiently throughout varying levels of both the customer and Altran businesses. Due to the nature of the assignments undertaken by Altran you will work in an environment that promotes autonomy and initiative, requiring a flexible attitude. Above all, you will have a desire to progress.


- Perform and deliver gas turbine performance tasks as part of a team
- Present and report progress and results, externally and internally
- Maintain direct working relationships with clients and represent both your work and the work of team members during client meetings.


- Statistical analysis of test bed performance data
- Ad-hoc updates and running of gas turbine performance models
- Testing and validation of performance tools
- Investigations relating to performance, working in multi-discipline environment
- Produce technical slide packs and reports


- Educated to degree level (or equivalent) in an engineering or scientific discipline, ideally including thermodynamics, propulsion systems or at least mechanical engineering
- Ideally chartered engineer (or working towards chartership).

Required Skills:

- Understanding / knowledge of physics relating to thermodynamics and energy transfers
- Familiarity with gas turbine principles and technologies
- Understanding of Engineering lifecycle and functions
- Experience with engineering documentation
- Good communication skills in client-facing situations
