Trainee/Assistant Buyer– Residential Developer (High Spec)

Salary Up To – £30,000 + Travel Allowance + Package

Location: West London/Outskirts

By focusing solely on the capital and its surrounding areas, they are specialists in developing homes that are worthy of London city and the demands of its residents. Their achievements have been recognised by the industry with numerous awards, including Newcomer of the Year at the 2012 RESI Awards and Norwood Property Awards. In 2013 and 2014, my client was recognised at the Evening Standard New Homes Awards, the RESI Awards and the What House Awards. They are currently undertaking a major growth plan which will see them increase annual output year on year to 1000 units by 2020.

About the Role:

Having recently moved to brand new, self-developed offices which boast a Google type working environment, my client is looking to grow their procurement team. Due to their strong expansion plans for the upcoming 5 years, they are looking to employ a number of capable and like-minded individuals to their company workforce of already 100 members. Their portfolio is developing and the type of projects they carry out will be evolving but some of my client’s current projects include: 15no. elegant houses of 3, 4 & 5 bedrooms, the refurbishment of a Grade II Listed landmark into luxury 1, 2, 3 and 4 bedroom apartments and a development of high specification studio, one, two and three bedroom apartments.

Candidate Requirements:

·An awareness of the legal implications of buying

·Understanding of health and safety issues relating to material procurement

·Experience of working in the house building industry is desirable

·Some technical and building processes knowledge

·Excellent communication skills

·Strong negotiation skills

·High level of proficiency in various computer packages including MS Office Products - Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel

·Self-motivated and pro-active with the ability to act on own initiative

·Excellent prioritisation and organisational skills with the ability to effectively manage time to meet deadlines

·Effective at building relationships

·Proficient at managing people 

About the Benefits and Reward:

·Basic salary of up to £30,000 (depending on experience)
