Client and Business Development Officer
The Association for Consultancy and Engineering (ACE) represents approximately 500 member organisations providing consultancy and engineering services in the built and natural environment. Members include organisations involved in many of the world’s most challenging and spectacular infrastructure projects. ACE has spearheaded a series of high profile campaigns in recent years and constantly engages with Government Ministers and Industry leaders to ensure their members are effectively represented.
Key responsibilities for the role include:
Membership acquisition across ACE regions, working with ACE senior management;
Supporting the delivery of ACE membership and retention strategy;
Supporting the delivery of ACE regional activities;
Liaising with and coordinating the planning and delivery of regional activities and programmes in collaboration with the Event Management team;
Candidates should possess at least 5 years client facing experience preferably in a membership organisation.
Excellent interpersonal, communication and presentation skills are pre-requisites.JOB DESCRIPTION:Summary of Role·To work with ACE senior management on membership acquisition across all ACE regions; ·To support ACE membership and retention strategy; ·To produce monthly reports on membership activity;·To support the delivery of ACE regional activities; ·To work with Regional Managers on membership acquisition and retention, to include travel to the regions;·To liaise with and coordinate the planning and delivery of regional activities and programmes in collaboration with the Event Management team; ·Responsible for administration and day to day management of SME group, and Progress Network; ·To actively use ACE’s CRM system as a tool for recording , monitoring and updating membership records;·To assist in the development of knowledge management systems for ACE and the collection of accurate corporate and individual stakeholder details for ACE members; ·To work with ACE operational management team and key industry stakeholders in developing and delivering business enhancement services to ACE members;·To support ACE Group objectives as required.
Person Specification·A relevant degree or professional qualification; ·At least 5 years client facing experience preferably in a membership organisation;·A willingness to travel including across the devolved regions;·Ability to gain an understanding of key issues and drivers within the devolved regions; ·Ability to form and consolidate effective business relationships;·A self -motivated, results focused individual; ·Ability to work alone on own initiative and as part of team;·Experience of working and delivering to targets; ·Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work effectively with a wide range of stakeholders;·Ability to work to tight deadlines, prioritise workload and manage multiple tasks;·Excellent IT skills including MS Office suite and relevant database packages, knowledge of CRM would be an advantage; ·Strong attention to detail and accuracy in the review of data and production of reports and statistics.
