Our client is seeking an experienced Cook to provide basic and wholesome meals and snacks for their fire department and occasional visitors.

The role:
As a Cook your daily duties will include providing cooked breakfasts or lunches and from time to time leaving food prepared for evening meals. Ingredients will be provided by station staff however you may be occasionally asked to shop for foodstuffs in their absence. You will also be responsible for keeping the kitchen and its equipment clean and hygienic and carrying out cleaning duties.

Who are we looking for?
To be considered for the Cook role you should have the following skills and experience:
• Previous experience in catering, particularly in providing nutritious meals and snacks
• A good knowledge of hygiene, food safety requirements and kitchen management
• The ability to cater for specific dietary needs and a general awareness of food allergies
• Possession of a basic certificate in Food Hygiene (Level 1) would be advantageous. If not already held it is a requirement that you undertake training to this level within 3 months of your start date
