Having doubled the size of the business since the recession, this is a great time to join a massively successful building contractor, based in the West Midlands. Our award winning client is a regional contractor, with a strong presence in the Midlands. The firm have built a solid reputation for delivering quality projects between the values of £5-25m to a number of blue chip clients across various Market Sectors. Although the company take on a range of work, their primary focus is on the: Education, Industrial, Commercial, Residential (extra care) sectors. Turnover for the group stands at £120m, with their construction arm contributing around £75m. Despite their size, they remain family owned and this is reflected in their relationships with clients and sub-contractors, and also means that they go to great lengths to ensure that their employees are offered progression and the chance to grow with the company.

The ideal Contracts Manager/The role:

The role may suit a Senior Project Manager who is looking for the next stage in their career. Experience is key but what is more important is your attitude and drive. The role has opened up off the back of a successful bid for a £15m project consisting of both refurb and new build to an existing building, located in the West Midlands. If you are a Contracts Manager, we will be looking for someone who has experience managing up to 3 projects. The Contracts Manager will be expected to manage the scheme until final handover, as well as overseeing 2-3 other projects. You are required to have experience managing projects of a similar value, in both the public and private sector, as well as representing the business professionally with the client.

  • You will be responsible for all health and safety on site.
  • Managing all quality inspections.
  • Have ability to drive projects forward effectively
  • Manage projects in line with the agreed finance and production targets and reports
  • Have key client-facing responsibility
  • Implement and advise on new delivery strategies using previous experience

Benefits

You will have the opportunity to earn up to £75,000 per annum with all the additional benefits expected for a contractor of this size. You will also get the choice between a company car and car allowance which is supplied on top of the annual salary.
