A market leading business based on the outskirts of Manchester is looking to recruit for a Financial Reporting Manager for a period of 12 months +

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare the annual and interim consolidated financial statements under IFRS
  • Prepare the annual subsidiary financial statements under FRS101
  • Prepare the annual supporting documentation for the Group's audit and interim review
  • Prepare the annual charity accounts and working papers for the Trust to be completed by external accountants

Taxation

  • Submission of the quarterly VAT return for all companies within the Group
  • Submission of the annual corporation tax schedules
  • Submission of information for employment tax related reporting, including P11ds, PSA, Form 35, Form 40 and Form 42
  • The role holder will be the first point of contact for HMRC and other advisors for all
    Group taxation matters and will be required to liaise with these external parties on
    various matters including share valuations and PAYE settlement agreements.

Management Accounting

  • Prepare the monthly capital resource positions for all regulated companies within the Group for the finance pack
  • Process the inter-company monthly re-charge and reconcile the inter-company position
  • Reviewing monthly consolidation adjustments

Payroll

  • Oversee monthly payroll processing

Regulatory Reporting

  • Preparation of regulatory reports to the FCA
  • Submission of the Group's individual entity confirmation statements
  • Submission of appropriate Companies House documents following capital injections / reductions
  • Prepare the interim and annual investor presentations for the shareholders
  • Review of monthly and quarterly national statistics questionnaires
  • Any other ad-hoc work as required by the FC/FD/CFO
  • Management & development of 2 staff

The candidate will be:

  • ACA/ACCA qualified
  • Staff management experience
  • Excellent understanding of VAT
  • Working knowledge of corporation tax
  • Working knowledge of employment tax and related reporting
