UWE Bristol is an ambitious institution with a focus on the future. We understand that the landscape of Higher Education is changing fast and we’re passionate about embracing new opportunities and taking the lead.

The Strategic Programmes Office works at the frontline of transformational change, providing expertise and resource to support the projects and processes that are key to delivering the University’s 2020 strategy under its four strategic programmes – Learning and Research 2020, Performance 2020, Campus 2020 and Business Process and Systems. Overall, our aim is to make sure that all initiatives have the right support in place to deliver tangible improvements and sustainable outcomes against their objectives.

We are seeking to appoint a Senior Project Manager to procure and implement a new Project Information Management System. As part of UWE Bristol’s 2020 ‘Research with Impact’ strategy, the project will deliver a fully integrated system for all externally-funded projects including research, CPD and other contracts.

You will need to demonstrate a strong track record in successful delivery projects at a senior level with a mix of business change and process improvement alongside technology based solutions.

This post is based at our lively Frenchay campus where we have invested in the latest facilities and resources to give our students access to everything they need to succeed – with £200m being spent on new state-of-the-art learning spaces and accommodation between now and 2020 to enhance our offer even further. Frenchay campus is within close proximity to excellent motorway links and within walking distance of two train stations, making UWE Frenchay Campus the ideal place to work for those wishing to commute to Bristol.

You will work in an environment where talent and career aspirations are nurtured and supported.

In addition to progressive pay rates, UWE Bristol offers a wide range of staff benefits:

  • A generous holiday allowance of up to 30 days
  • Up to 12.5 bank holiday/closure days per year
  • Flexible working
  • Excellent pension schemes
  • Option to participate in the cycle to work scheme
  • Family friendly policies including an onsite nursery at our Frenchay Campus with an option to purchase childcare vouchers
