Are you a Customer Development Manager with a proven FMCG background? Would you like to be responsible for leading product development, managing negotiations and have total control of the customer journey?

Does a salary of up to £38,000 plus a £4,250 car allowance and a generous benefits package (including product discounts) sound of interest? If so, this global manufacturing business company would like you to join their Commercial Team to work with the UKs biggest retailers.

What’s the Job?

Reporting to the Head of Sales, this is a customer facing role and you’ll be working closely with both product development and technical teams, leading all aspects of collaborative product development; duties will also include:

  • Work closely with customers in respect of new products and product launches
  • Act as the interface between the customer and development
  • Ensure customer briefs are clearly communicated
  • Manage and challenge to enable delivery of lowest cost / added value solution
  • Lead technical meetings, reviews, first production and site visits
  • Review of categories using relevant data (ie shopper insight) and make recommendations
  • Mentor and coach ensuring highest standards
  • Account management of key clients including volume; evaluation; product mix; pricing
  • Ensure forecasting accuracy
  • Price and promotion negotiations
What experience do you need?

You’ll already be working within the FMCG industry (preferably manufacturing) and you’ll also be working with a focussed, customer facing role, you’ll also need:

  • Graduate Calibre
  • Full Driving Licence
  • Excellent IT skills (SAP desirable)
  • At least 3 years working within a commercial role
  • Strong negotiator
  • Self-motivated and driven
  • Able to deal with difficult situations
  • Planning skills, well organised and able to work to deadlines
  • Strong communication skills, able to engage with all aspects of the business and their customers
What are the pay and benefits?

A salary of £38,000 plus car allowance of £4,250 is on offer for this role; benefits include staff discount; pension; healthcare. Holidays are 25 days per year.
