This is quite a unique opportunity for an experienced MRICS QS or Building Surveyor to work within the Financial Institutions department within a multi-disciplinary professional services business who operate on an international level and have in excess of a €2bn turnover.

The Financial Institutions element of this business is based out of 6 offices across the UK and provides expert support to international lenders and investors. With significant funds from Asia, the US and the Middle East now flowing into European and emerging markets, demand for the team's expertise is high. Their professionals help investors understand the assets they are investing in, and how to maximise equity returns. For lenders, the challenge is to manage the risks and deliver greater certainty around investments.
  • Post MRICS qualification experience.
  • An experienced Quantity Surveyor (QS) or Building Surveyor, with a sound knowledge and understanding of property development, market trends in procurement and funding of projects.
  • Literate and able to produce detailed due diligence reports focusing on cost, programme and quality on behalf of a funder.
  • Can understand and apply critical judgement to cash flows. Numerate with the ability to analyse multi-phase project cash flows and feasibilities incorporating debt and equity.
  • Capable of reviewing loan documentation to identify and monitor clauses for compliance and risk reports.
  • Able to recognise and catalogue financial security being provided by the Borrower (e.g. Collateral warranties, Third Party Rights, Performance Bonds, Cost Overrun Cash Deposits, etc.).

This role is very client led, the client's being international funders and investors; therefore the critical element of this role is showing high levels of technical capability, sound commercial knowledge and a good understanding of the key drivers or cost and value; capturing and sharing knowledge and driving innovation in service.
