My client is an online retailer based in Trafford Park, operating across a number of retail categories and selling on Amazon, eBay and own websites both in the UK and internationally.
Role Title: Category Manager – DIY, Tools, Automotive
Reporting To: Head of Ecommerce
Role Description: Responsibility & accountability for product category revenue and profit
Main Duties and Responsibilities:·To be responsible for the commercial growth of the DIY, Tools & Automotive category ·To drive growth & profitability to company websites, but also via UK and international marketplaces ·To build and maintain supplier relationships through proactive meetings, calls & emails etc ·To elicit ‘best as’ commercial terms and conditions ·To actively maintain and optimise sale lines and onboard new relevant, profitable product ·To seek and onboard new suppliers to further extend the category where appropriate ·To actively identify market and product trends and activate opportunities from such·To obtain promotional pricing / product from suppliers to enable promotional activity across marketplaces and websites ·To actively maintain and optimise pricing via internal systems ·To ensure that all pricing and subsequent margins are within parameters set by the company ·To be responsible for the buying of small levels of stock to assist category growth·To ensure that all category product is listed on all relevant marketplaces and such listings are optimised to elicit best results ·To work with and advise the Content & Marketplace teams to grow & optimise the category·To work with the Marketing team to devise relevant and engaging promotions ·To work with Customer Services team when category queries arise ·To work with the Ops team when supplier delivery issues arise ·To actively identify market and product trends
Trading & ecommerce experience is essential
