SALARY & BENEFITS: £35,000 pro rata
WORKING HOURS: 32 hours per week (0.8 FTE)

They work in collaboration with diverse communities and artists to enrich lives through shared creative experience. They now have an excellent opportunity for a Finance Manager to join their team.

THE ROLE:Our client is currently recruiting for a Finance Manager to join their team based in Salford. In this strategic role as part of the Senior Management Team, you'll be applying your accountancy skills to our clients national and international work as well as their ambitious £1m+ capital development project due for completion in 2017.

Key Responsibilities to include:
  • Management of financial systems, processes and controls
  • Management Accounting
  • Financial Accounting and tax
  • Overall management of Finance Department
THE CANDIDATE: To be considered for the position of Finance Manager, you must possess a professional accountancy part-qualification e.g. ACA, ACCA or CIMA and have a minimum of 4 years' previous experience within a similar financial management position. You must also be SAGE Line 50 literate to a high technical standard and ideally have experience of line-managing staff. Knowledge of current SORP and other aspects of Charity finances and legislation would be desirable, alongside the ability to critically appraise the financial systems, processes and controls and deliver change management.

Key experience essential for the role:
  • Professional accountacy part-qualified (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Minimum 4 years' previous experience within a Finance Management position
  • Strong working knowledge and experience of financial reporting and preparation of statutory accounts
  • SAGE Line 50 literacy to a high technical standard
  • Full competency in Microsoft Office applications
Key experience desirable for the role:
  • Experience of working in the Arts or Charity sector
  • Knowledge of current SORP and other aspects of Charity finances and legislation
  • Experience of the financial management of a capital building programme
  • Ability to critically appraise the financial systems, processes and controls, and identify and implement changes to the processes and procedures to strengthen the control environment
